Your AI · the connector
The MIS connector, tool by tool.
The “Made In Show” connector brings your data into the assistant you already use. Here is how to add it, what's new and everything you can ask it — with an example for every tool.
The short answer
Event-production software with an official MCP connector.
Made In Show, the management software for audio, lighting and video production companies, has an MCP connector for ChatGPT and Claude: it is published in their directories, available to every customer and included in the fee. With 58 tools the assistant reads productions, quotes, warehouse, technicians, vehicles and administration; the 22 actions that change data work only if the administrator allows them, and always go through a preview and your confirmation.
Add it
One click in your assistant's directory.
You need an account on a Made In Show installation with AI access enabled by your administrator. The link uses your MIS login: no keys, no configuration.

What's new
What's new in 1.5.0.
- Nineteen new tools since 1.4.0: 58 in total, 36 read-only and 22 write (up from 39), plus several existing tools expanded.
- Company vehicles: search vehicles by name, brand, model or plate with free and busy days over a window of up to 62 days, book them on a production and mark or clear downtime days, for example at the workshop.
- Production overview: work and event dates, tags, crew, vehicles, consumables and linked invoices in a single read; each section says whether it is complete, empty or not allowed.
- Production economics: a production's totals and operating margin as on the MIS economic-details screen, only for users with the economic-data permission.
- Notes and working days: add, correct or delete production and venue notes, with one action for each operation; set the type, call time and note of existing days.
- Crew: book or remove a technician on a production at a rate valid at the start of work, create availability requests and invitations, and see who has answered and who is still pending.
- Actually sending emails and push notifications to technicians is a separate step, with a preview of every recipient and its own confirmation; the administrator enables it and it is off by default on every installation.
- Technicians' competences: each one's competences and rates with the date they apply from; the search for free technicians also filters by competence, course, province and name.
- Warehouse: browse the catalog by category, and see a product sheet's composition and history.
- Attachments: list the files attached to productions, binders, venues, product sheets and vehicles, with name, type and size; on request, a download link valid for 5 minutes that opens the file even without signing in to MIS. The connector never reads the content of the files.
- Two-step confirmation on all twenty-two write actions; where possible, after writing the tool reads the data back and reports an uncertain outcome when it does not match.
- When a vehicle, technician or rate is ambiguous the assistant lists the candidates and asks; conflicts with confirmed bookings or unavailability block the booking unless you explicitly accept them.
- Rates and amounts appear only to users with the economic-data permission, re-checked on every call; answers include links to the MIS pages. Authentication, permissions and data retention are unchanged.
Previous versions
- New read tool “Find items”: looks up physical warehouse items by tag, full or partial serial number, product sheet or production material, with status and maintenance history.
- New action “Report defective item”: records the maintenance and changes the item status (Broken, or another catalog status) after your confirmation.
- Guided identification: when the item is ambiguous the assistant does not pick on its own — it lists the candidates and asks for serial number, warehouse or status.
- Two-step confirmation on all nine write actions: first the “from → to” preview, then the confirmation; if the data changes in between, the confirmation expires and the plan is redone.
- Data guards: lots (quantity above 1) cannot be reported via AI, item costs and suppliers never appear in the answers, a note without maintenance is not saved.
- Honest receipts: maintenance is recorded before the status change, a partial or uncertain outcome is stated, and repeating a confirmation never writes twice.
- Every answer carries a short summary meant to be read aloud, without technical identifiers.
- Completeness of a production or of a whole binder: material, extras, supplies, loading plans, reports.
- Warehouse catalog by product, material yield ranking, technicians free over a date range.
- First publication in the ChatGPT directory: 30 tools, answers trimmed to the necessary data.
What you can ask
58 tools, one example each.
Every tool works with the account and permissions of whoever uses it. Those marked as actions change data: they require the “act” level and always go through a preview and your confirmation.
